Where life is a little easier......

I'm wishing you a great Friday the 13th!  Don't know about you but I'm going to be thinking even MORE positive, happy thoughts all day!

I'm sharing a card with you today using another Stamptangle from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps. I'm having fun making cards with these stamps and hope to give you inspiration to try them for yourself.

Everyone who knows me is familiar with my love of the ocean and anything that lives in it. I was thrilled to have this sea turtle to create a card. Actually, there are two sea turtles and I will do another card later using the other stamp.

I created the background using a technique from Vivian Keh at contadinak.wordpress.com . I love the way she creates art and thought I would give it a try. I like the texture and look of it but it is not anywhere close to the exquisite work that Vivian does.

Here is a closeup of the sea turtle and a little closer look at the texture of the background.

Love this saying....and it is so very true. I stamped the top line onto the twill tape using archival ink before attaching onto the card.

Here is a little cluster of treasures from the ocean which I collected. They are adhered onto the card with glossy accents and then covered with tiny gold, no-hole beads.

I hope I have given you some joy today and a bit of inspiration.

Thank you so much for taking time to stop by!

  1. Love the details of your cards---like the stamping on the twill ribbon and the ACTUAL shells in the corner!
